Learn about soil

Soils are mostly managed degenerativly in Jersey, this is evidenced through the loss of soil carbon.

Make soils a founder/ equal shareholder of agricultural profits and give that money back to soil through soil regeneration stratergies set around the UN soil health principles.

A very good comment. I am fed up with seeing pictures of a nameless farmer complaining about lack of rain and saying his soil is like dust. After heavy rain you can see run off from the fields caused not by the rain but by the soil being dead and totally lacking organic manure such as leaf mould. Farmers continue to spray slurry on their fields as a quick fix but it simply runs off and feeds the green seaweed in St Aubins bay.
