Other carbon emissions.
It's not just cars that cause pollution. There are pleasure boat and private planes, as well as commercial shipping and aeroplane travel and freight. These all need to be considered and reduced, but it will prove impossible to be carbon neutral, unless we cut ourselves off from the rest of the world. Jersey could become a sailing mecca, if Ports encouraged sailing boats instead of motor boats. Travel needs to carbon neutral, and thus should involve the airlines only to use modern fuel efficient aircraft, or Jersey banning unsuitable planes. How many electric boats are there in the harbour? What's the carbon footprint of going to the UK by boat against flying? All important questions.
Why the contribution is important
All aspects of carbon production needs to be looked at. If the Island still produces carbon for other sources than vehicles, these need to be identified, and worked on to get to carbon neutrality.
